Dante Tamburro

General Counsel & CCO at Financeit

Dante Tamburro is currently the General Counsel and CCO at Financeit. Prior to this, they spent 14 years at Tangerine Bank (formerly ING Direct), where they served as Vice President, General Counsel, CAMLO, and Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, they oversaw the Compliance function for the bank and its subsidiaries, including the Privacy, Ombudsman, and Outsourcing frameworks. Dante also acted as Ombudsman and Privacy Officer for the bank during their tenure.

In addition to their role as General Counsel, Dante also served as Managing Director of Risk for a year during the transition of the Risk function after the sale of Tangerine. Dante was also the lead for several regulatory reviews by OSFI, the OSC, and the MFDA.

Dante is a member of the Executive Team at Financeit and has extensive experience in the financial services industry.

Dante Tamburro completed a BA in Economics at Western University before going on to law school at Queen's Law School. After graduating from law school, they became certified by the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) in the Partners, Directors and Officers Course.
