Sven Petersen

Sven Petersen is currently the General Counsel and CCO at Joyson Safety Systems. Prior to that, they were with Takata AG from September 2015 to April 2018 as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Sven was also with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP from September 2005 to September 2015 as a Principal Associate, working on mergers and acquisitions, compliance and internal investigations, capital markets law, and corporate law.

Sven Petersen completed a two-year traineeship at the Landgericht Münster, followed by a Master of Laws at the University of Virginia School of Law. Sven then completed their first state examination in law at the University of Münster. Finally, they obtained a Diplôme d'Etudes Universitaires Générales in law from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology.

They are on a team with Sven'sayoshi Iwamitsu - Regional President, Japan, Philip Shan - Regional President, Asia, and Jorge Loyo - Regional President, Americas. Sven Petersen reports to Tao Liu, CEO.
