Ashish Kumar

Ashish Kumar is an experienced professional with a strong background in policy analysis and financial regulation. Currently serving as a Senior Policy Analyst and Advisor as well as Team Lead at the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) since April 2015, Ashish has cultivated expertise in international relations, surveillance, investigation, and enforcement. Prior to this role, Ashish held the position of Deputy General Manager at SEBI from April 1999 to March 2015. Ashish's career began as a Finance Officer at BHEL from 1996 to 1998, followed by a role as Junior Manager (Finance) at Steel Authority of India Limited in late 1998. Ashish holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Mumbai (2009-2012) and has certification from the Institute of Cost and Work Accountants of India (1996-1998).
