Chief Commercial Officer (cco) at Financial Finesse

Namita S. has a diverse work experience spanning from 2005 to the present. Namita currently holds the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Financial Finesse since June 2018. Prior to that, Namita served as a Board Member for various for-profit organizations starting from 2012.

From 2008 to 2017, Namita worked as the Director and Head of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Strategy at Emerging Capital Partners. In this role, they focused on ESG issues and helped management grow operations and strive towards best practices in over 40 countries in Africa.

Namita has also been involved in various organizations and committees within the private equity and venture capital industry in Africa. Namita was a member of the EMPEA Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Community at the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association in 2017. From 2013 to 2016, Namita served as a Stakeholder & Communications Committee Member at the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCA), where they worked to raise awareness and understanding of investment opportunities in Africa. Namita was also a Board Member at Gong Communications from 2013 to 2015.

In addition, Namita has had experience working with the Financial Times on the Africa Sustainability Barometer Council in 2013, which assessed business sustainability practices across Africa. Namita was also a Board Member at DC SAFE, an organization supporting survivors of domestic violence, from 2010 to 2011.

Namita started their career as a Small Business Facilitator with the Peace Corps in 2005, where they provided technical assistance and helped promote social and economic development in other countries. Namita also had the opportunity to work as a Political/Economic Intern at the United States Department of State in 2007.

Namita S. completed a BBA in Management Information Systems, General at Mays Business School - Texas A&M University in 2001. Subsequently, they pursued an MBA in Finance at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business from 2007 to 2009.
