Tara Salter

Tara Salter has been working in the corporate events industry since 2011. Tara started as a Corporate Events Specialist at Financial Independence Group, where they were responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing corporate events and travel arrangements. Tara also negotiated contracts and served as a liaison between the company and contractors. In September 2021, they were promoted to the role of Corporate Events Director at the same company.

Prior to joining Financial Independence Group, Tara worked at The Charlotte Observer from 2005 to 2009. Tara served as an Account Executive, where they closely worked with clients to identify their needs and provided solutions-oriented campaign themes and timelines. Tara also analyzed market data and competition to develop effective sales plans. Before that, they were an Advertising Sales Assistant, where they coordinated meetings, prepared marketing materials, and served as a primary contact for advertising agencies and clients.

Tara Salter attended Delmar High School for their secondary education. Tara then went on to complete their Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications from Elon University, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Tara obtained a certification in Cvent Event Management from Cvent in April 2020.
