Andrea Gonzi is a seasoned professional in data protection and privacy law, currently serving as the Data Protection Manager at the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU) Malta since July 2024. Prior to this role, Andrea held positions as the Data Protection Officer and Head of Data Protection at Netbet from April 2022 to May 2024, and as Group Privacy Lawyer and Data Protection Officer at LeoVegas Group from March 2019 to March 2022. Andrea began a legal career as a Lawyer at Deloitte Malta between July 2017 and March 2019. Andrea has obtained CIPP/E and CIPM certifications in Data Protection from ICE Malta and holds a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Malta.
