Akila Quinio

Akila Quinio is a banking and fintech reporter at the Financial Times since September 2021, with experience as a Paul McClean Graduate Trainee, where roles included asset management reporting, serving as a Paris correspondent, and acting as a property correspondent. Prior to this, Akila worked at Monzo Bank from December 2018 to April 2020 in various operations roles, including customer operations and anti-money laundering compliance. Academic credentials include an MA in International Journalism from City St George’s, University of London, and a BA in European Social and Political Studies from UCL, along with a summer program in Arabic Language and Literature at the University of Tunis El Manar and a high school diploma from Lycée Sainte Anne and Marlington High School.
