George Hammond

George Hammond is a seasoned journalist currently serving as the Venture Capital Correspondent at the Financial Times since April 2017, focusing on artificial intelligence, financial technology, and cryptocurrency investment trends. Previously, George held various positions, including Property Correspondent and Asia finance reporter, while covering UK housebuilder news and the residential property market. As a freelance writer for The Times, George contributed to the foreign desk and authored articles in both online and print formats. At Springwise Innovation, George crafted reports on innovation for esteemed clients like Deloitte and KPMG, and served as the lead author of the book "Disrupt! 100 lessons in business innovation," which was shortlisted for an award. Other experiences include serving as the Education & Organising officer at ShareAction, where George facilitated dialogue between pension savers and scheme representatives, and participating as a Year Here Fellow.
