Laurence Fletcher

Laurence Fletcher is an experienced financial journalist with a comprehensive background in market news and hedge fund reporting. Currently serving as a Contributor at the Centre for Cultural Witness since April 2024, Laurence has held various prominent roles at the Financial Times since November 2018, including Deputy Markets News Editor, Hedge Fund Correspondent, and Capital Markets Correspondent. Prior experience includes working as the Europe Hedge Funds Correspondent at The Wall Street Journal from April 2014 to November 2018 and as European Hedge Funds Correspondent at Thomson Reuters from January 2006 to February 2014. Laurence began a career in journalism at Citywire, advancing to Deputy Funds Editor from May 2000 to January 2006. Laurence holds an MA in English from the University of Cambridge, obtained between 1995 and 1998.
