Ortenca Aliaj

Ortenca Aliaj is an experienced financial journalist currently serving as Banking Editor at the Financial Times, a position held since January 2019, along with roles as Deputy US Corporate Finance Editor and M&A Correspondent. Prior to this, Ortenca worked as a Senior Reporter at Absolute Return from July 2017 to January 2019 and as a Reporter at Mergermarket from March 2014 to July 2017. Early career experience includes a role in Business Development at The Global Poverty Project from September 2013 to February 2014. Ortenca holds a LLB (Hons) in Law with International Studies from the University of Surrey and has also studied LLB Law & International Studies with a focus on International Law at the University of Groningen.
