Robert Brown (He/Him)

Robert A. Brown is a marketing and communications professional with a proven track record across corporate, nonprofit, and academic sectors. He began his career at Target, rising from the sales floor to Human Resources Executive Team Leader, where he led regional training and supported the national Dr. Seuss Read Across America campaign.

Robert earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, magna cum laude, from Bloomfield College in 2007, where he was also recognized by the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. He interned at ABC News, working with Barbara Walters, Robin Roberts, and John Quiñones, and at The Wall Street Journal.

He went on to serve as Communications Coordinator at Community Access Unlimited, a nonprofit supporting individuals with disabilities and at-risk youth. At Big Lots!, he led customer campaigns that boosted engagement and in-store traffic, all while completing a Master’s in Rhetoric and Composition at William Paterson University.

Since 2015, Robert has led marketing at the Financial Women’s Association, driving social media, content creation, and audience engagement.

Known for his people-first approach, Robert believes leadership is about support, not spotlight. He’s also served as an adjunct professor, published poet, and speaker. He is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, committed to advancing equity in media and communications.
