Mike Montian, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in technology and innovation banking across notable institutions. Currently serving as Senior Director of Technology and Innovation at National Bank Financial since May 2022, Mike is dedicated to lending within the innovation sector and is an enthusiastic supporter of the tech and venture ecosystem. Prior roles include Director of Technology & Innovation at BMO Financial Group, where Mike connected with entrepreneurs and investors in Western Canada, and Consultant at CIBC, responsible for managing relationships with venture capitalists and innovation centers. Mike's career began with various positions at CIBC, including Manager and Associate in Commercial Banking, where responsibilities spanned credit origination, client relationship management, and financial analysis.
