Nigar Jafarova

Nigar Jafarova has several years of work experience in financial reporting, business intelligence, and audit. Nigar is currently the Head of Business Intelligence and Lender Relationship at FINCA Azerbaijan since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Financial Reporting Manager at AccessBank Azerbaijan from December 2019 to July 2020. From September 2016 to December 2019, they were the Head of IFRS at VTB. Nigar also has experience working as a Lead IFRS Specialist at FINCA International from December 2013 to September 2016, as well as a Financial Analyst at Prolink Caspian LLC from September 2012 to September 2013. Before that, they served as a Valuation Manager at Crowe Horwath International - Global Corporate Advisors (GCA) from April 2012 to September 2012. Nigar began their career as an Experienced Audit Senior at Moore Stephens from September 2009 to January 2012, followed by an Audit Senior role at PwC from April 2008 to September 2009. Nigar started their professional journey as an Audit Associate at Deloitte from July 2005 to April 2008.

Nigar Jafarova holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and Accounting from Khazar University, which they attained between the years 2003 and 2006. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Baku State University from 1997 to 2001. Nigar also attended 134 Secondary School, where they studied Mathematics. Additionally, they obtained a DipIFR qualification from ACCA, though specific dates were not provided for these two educational experiences.
