Howard Franklin, MD, MBA has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Howard is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Finch Therapeutics, where they are responsible for various medical affairs activities, including managing clinical trials and overseeing interactions with regulatory agencies. Prior to joining Finch Therapeutics, Howard held the position of Chief Medical Officer at Salix Pharmaceuticals, where they led the global Clinical, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs strategy for GI-related assets. Howard also played a key role in the successful FDA approval of PLENVU, a bowel prep product.

Howard Franklin, MD, MBA has a comprehensive education history that includes various degrees in medicine and business. Howard began their education journey in 1982 at Lehigh University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Studies. After completing their undergraduate studies, they attended Drexel University College of Medicine from 1984 to 1988, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Continuing their medical education, Howard Franklin completed a Fellowship in Laparo-endoscopy/Minimally Invasive surgery at Harvard Medical School from 1989 to 1990. Later, in 2004, they enrolled in the Executive MBA program at La Salle University to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
