Hessel de Waard

Hessel de Waard's work experience includes positions at FincoEnergies, KPMG Nederland, and KPMG US. At FincoEnergies, they were a Finance Director in the Business Innovation division from April 2023 until the present. Prior to that, they served as the Group Business Controller from January 2022 to March 2023, and as a Business Controller at FinCo Fuel Group from October 2020 to December 2021. At KPMG Nederland, they held various roles including Manager from October 2017 to October 2020, Assistant Manager from October 2016 to September 2017, Supervisor Audit from October 2014 to September 2016, Senior Trainee Audit from October 2013 to September 2014, and Trainee Audit from September 2011 to September 2013. At KPMG US, they worked as a Manager in KPMG's New York office from April 2019 to August 2019.

Hessel de Waard began their education in 2008 at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business in 2010. Hessel then pursued a Master of Science in PwC Honours Master Accounting, Auditing and Control from the same university, completing it in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, Hessel attended Erasmus School of Accounting and Assurance (ESAA), earning the degree of RA with a field of study in Auditing. Hessel later enrolled at the Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants from 2011 to 2016, obtaining the degree of Registeraccountant. In 2022, Hessel further enhanced their knowledge in Corporate Finance at NIVE.
