Andrea Sacchi

Andrea Sacchi has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Andrea began their career at Merck Sharp & Dohme in 1998 as a packaging supervisor and later moved up to become a packaging senior supervisor. In 2007, they transitioned to the role of IPT senior coordinator before eventually becoming a Sr Associate, Pack. Technology in 2009. At Merck Sharp & Dohme, Andrea was responsible for leading continuous improvement projects in the solid oral dosage Packaging Area, managing budgets, and overseeing a team.

In 2014, Andrea joined Grünenthal as a Packaging and Warehouse Manager, where they were responsible for the packaging and warehouse operations. Andrea then moved to Roche in 2015, taking on multiple roles including Packaging Manager, Drug Product Technical Lead, and Installation & Start-Up Manager, where they were involved in the set-up and installation of equipment.

In 2017, Andrea joined Delpharm as an Installation & Start-Up Manager for a brief period before moving on to their most recent position at Fine Foods & Pharmaceuticals NTM SPA. At Fine Foods & Pharmaceuticals NTM SPA, Andrea held the role of Responsabile produzione before being promoted to the position of Food Plant Director in September 2019.

Andrea Sacchi completed a post-degree diploma in Pharmaceutical Industrial Operations from the University of Pavia in Farmacia from 2000 to 2003. In 1999, Andrea obtained certification as a Pharmacist from the Italian Order of Pharmacists, Pavia. From 1990 to 1998, Andrea earned a degree in Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Technology (CTF) from the University of Pavia. Andrea also completed additional certifications including eligibility to perform the function of Qualified Person from AIFA Agenzia Italiana del farmaco in October 2014, enrollment at the pharmacist's register of Pavia in April 2014, management foundations from Merck in March 2013, NORMA 60204-1 equipment elettrico delle macchine in October 2012, direttiva machina 2006/42/CE from PILZ in October 2012, and black belt 6 sigma from Merck Sigma in October 2010. Additionally, Andrea obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Merck, although the start and end years of this certification are unknown.
