Artem Popov

Artem Popov has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Artem is currently working at Fingerprint as an Engineering Team Lead, where they oversee the team and its projects. Prior to this, they held the position of Lead Data Scientist at the same company.

Before joining Fingerprint, Popov worked at V Kontakte LLC for a significant period. There, they held the roles of Machine Learning Team Lead (Computational Advertising) and Data Scientist | Web Developer. In these positions, they managed and developed Computational Advertising projects, supervised teams, and worked on various Data Mining and Machine Learning projects related to Social Networks and Highload Web Development.

Popov also worked as an Instructor at Computer Science Center, where they shared their knowledge and expertise with students. Additionally, they gained valuable experience at Yandex, starting as an Intern Developer and later progressing to Junior Software Developer and Software Developer roles. During their time at Yandex, Popov focused on developing quality evaluation tools for query misspell correction and machine translation projects. Their work involved feature engineering in machine learning components and resulted in a successful submission in the ACL 2014 WMT quality estimation task.

Throughout their career, Popov has utilized technologies such as Python, MySQL, and various machine learning tools and frameworks.

Artem Popov completed their education at ITMO University. Artem earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science for the years 2010 to 2014. Afterward, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field from 2014 to 2016 at the same university.
