Sampsa Holmberg

Sampsa Holmberg is an experienced Power Plant Manager with over a decade of expertise in the operation and maintenance of power generation facilities. Currently, Sampsa serves as the Power Plant Manager at Fingrid Oyj since April 2016, overseeing the operation, maintenance, and lifetime management of Fingrid's reserve power plants, which encompass a fleet of 10 power plants with 23 gas turbine units. Previously, Sampsa held a similar role at Fortum Power and Heat Oy from December 2009 to March 2016, managing the Meri-Pori Power Plant, a 565MW coal condensing power plant. Sampsa holds a Master of Science in Technology with a focus on Energy Economics and Power Plant Technology from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and a Technician Engineer degree in House Building from Helsinki Institute of Technology.
