Huy (Shayne) Nghiem has a diverse work experience. Huy (Shayne) started their career in 2011 as a Business Analyst Internship at Big C Supercenter, where they gained market research skills, data collecting and filtering skills, presentation skills, communication skills, leadership and teambuilding skills, confidence, and a business-minded attitude. In 2013, they were a Business Development Internship at NexPay, where they were involved in all aspects of the business, improved business operations, conducted marketing activities and campaigns, planned projects, improved website functionality and website management, reported directly to the directors, and conducted market research and analysis. In 2017, they worked as a Financial Advisor at AMP Horizons and as a Founder of Finhay, a fintech that helps millennials micro-invest in financial products in Vietnam starting from 50.000VND (~$3.00).

Huy (Shayne) Nghiem's education history includes a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and Marketing from the University of Sydney, obtained between 2010 and 2013. In 2009 and 2010, they completed a Commerce degree in Accounting from Taylors College. In 2016, they obtained a Diploma of Financial Planning from Monarch Institute.
