Ricky Houghton

Ricky Houghton has a long and varied work experience. Ricky began their career in 1992 as a System Scientist at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). In 2001, they moved to Media Site / Sonic Foundry as a Research Scientist and then Team Lead in the R&D group. From 2003 to 2007, they were a Senior Speech Scientist at Lucas Systems. Ricky then moved to IbisTek as Director of Robotic Systems in 2007. In 2012, they became Vice President of Tactical Communications at BAM International. In 2014, they joined IAM Robotics, LLC as Chief Software Architect. In 2018, they became Chief Product Officer at Ascend Robotics. Finally, in 2020, they became CTO/CoFounder of Finish Robotics.

Ricky Houghton attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1985 to 1990, where they earned a BS in Computer Science with a focus in Programming Languages. Ricky then attended Carnegie Mellon University from 1998 to 2001, studying Computer Science without obtaining a degree.
