Petra S. Häfliger

Petra S. Häfliger has worked in various roles, starting in 2007 at Zürcher Kantonalbank. They worked as a Risk Auditor from November 2007 to May 2011, and then transitioned to become a Senior Quant Structurer from June 2011 to September 2012. In 2012, Petra joined the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA, where they started as a Senior Risk Manager in November 2012. Currently, Petra holds the position of Head of Competence Center on Mortgage Markets at FINMA, a role they have been in since February 2023.

Petra S. Häfliger has a strong educational background in physics. Petra S. obtained a Dr. sc. ETH Zurich degree in Physics, specializing in solid-state physics, from ETH Zürich. Additionally, they hold a Dipl. Phys. ETH degree in Physics from the same institution.

In terms of additional certifications, Petra has pursued diverse areas of interest. Petra S. obtained a certification in Fit for Sustainable Finance from the University of St.Gallen in July 2022. In April 2021, they completed a course on Machine Learning from Stanford Online. Lastly, in November 2010, they achieved certification as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
