Leitha Matz

Leitha Matz has a long and varied career in the technology and hospitality industries. Leitha began their career in 1998 as an Interactive Product Manager for e.Media group. In 2000, they became Lead Graphic Designer for NetRadio. In 2002, they joined Union Square Hospitality Group as a Kitchen Team member, specializing in Garde Manger and Entremetier. In 2004, they joined FreshDirect as a Senior eCommerce Consultant and was promoted to Senior Director of eCommerce. In 2015, they became a Startup Mentor for the Techstars METRO Accelerator. In 2016, they Co-Founded and became Head of Product/COO for Zuper GmbH, which was named the 2019 European Startup of the Year. In 2018, they became Chief Strategy Officer for verify-u, a global SAAS-based identity verification company. In 2020, they joined The Adecco Group as a Global Product Manager. Most recently, in 2021, they Co-Founded and became Chief Product Officer of FinMarie, a FinTech firm focused on serving women.

Leitha Matz has a diverse educational background. Leitha obtained a BA in Mass Communications and Graphic Design from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1996. In 2013, they completed an Introduction to iOS Development course at General Assembly. Leitha also obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in June of 2013. Finally, Leitha Matz completed a Specialization on Methods and Statistics in the Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam in 2016.
