Marek Bukáček

Senior Quantitative Analyst at FinMason

Marek Bukáček has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Marek began their career as a Data Analyst and Programmer at the UTIA Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic from October 2011 to September 2013. Marek then worked as a Project Associate at ŠKODA AUTO a.s. from October 2013 to September 2016. Concurrently, they also served as a Doctoral Researcher at the Czech Technical University in Prague from October 2013 to December 2021, where they focused on studying systems with socio-physical interactions, such as traffic and pedestrian dynamics.

From August 2014 to December 2017, Marek worked as a Quantitative Analyst at Salix Capital. Marek then joined FinMason, Inc. in January 2018 as a Senior Quantitative Analyst. In this role, they led a team and was responsible for designing and developing data controlling processes, working with various data sources, implementing data testing and database handling, and supervising daily routines. Marek also played a role in the design and development of analytic tools.

Most recently, Marek joined Univerzita Karlova in September 2021 as a Research Fellow.

Marek Bukáček pursued their higher education at the Czech Technical University in Prague. From 2008 to 2013, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Probability, Statistics, and Mathematical Modeling. Following this, they continued their academic journey and enrolled in a Ph.D. program at the same institution, completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Probability, Statistics, and Mathematical Modeling from 2013 to 2021.
