Marko Berglund is a seasoned professional in development finance and environmental policy, currently serving as a Senior Development Impact Adviser at Finnfund since February 2022. Prior to this role, Marko held positions at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, including Deputy Director in the Unit for Development Finance and Private Sector Cooperation, where responsibilities included managing engagements with multilateral development banks. Marko also served as a Programme Management Officer at UNEP, leading a multi-stakeholder Green Climate Fund Readiness Programme, and as an alternate member of the Joint Implementation Supervisory Committee under the Kyoto Protocol. Additionally, Marko managed Finland's Clean Development Mechanism procurement portfolio and held directorship roles in various carbon funds. Educational qualifications include an LL.M in Law from The University of Edinburgh and a BA in Law with French from the University of Sussex.
