Hannu Savolainen is a Group Manager at the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE), focusing on the Use of Natural Resources within the Circular Economy Solutions unit since April 2015. Hannu also serves as a Doctoral Student at the University of Oulu's Department of Economics and has been the Executive Chairman of Haunted Zoo Productions Oy since December 2012. Previous experience includes roles as a project researcher at Oulu Business School, where Hannu contributed to significant projects on sustainable resource use and green growth indicators. In addition, Hannu was selected as a grantee of the Martti Ahtisaari Institute International Doctoral Scholarship Program and has worked as a personal assistant to multiple members of the Finnish Parliament. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Economics from Oulu Business School and two Master's degrees in Political History, Social Sciences, Economics, and Pedagogy from the University of Helsinki.
