Katarina Björklöf has extensive experience in environmental chemistry and microbiology, serving as Group Manager at the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke) since September 1997, overseeing around twenty laboratory personnel and providing analytical services and ecotoxicology testing. Björklöf previously managed the Environmental Chemistry Research Unit until the end of 2022 and has held roles such as Senior Researcher, where responsibilities included managing the Certification Body for environmental sampling and coordinating proficiency tests. Additionally, as Team Leader and Quality Manager for experimental research, contributions were made to the research department focusing on hazardous substances and quality assurance in molecular biology and microbiology.
