Kati Vierikko is a senior research scientist and group manager of the Urban Nature team at the Finnish Environment Institute, focusing on healthy living environments, nature-based solutions, and stakeholder engagement since January 2023. Previously, Kati held multiple roles at the same institute, including head of the Land Use Management Unit and senior researcher, where responsibilities included leading projects on living environments and sustainable solutions. Kati's experience also encompasses a position as a senior research funding advisor at the University of Helsinki, along with postdoctoral research on cultural ecosystem services and environmental equity. Kati holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences and a Master's degree in Systematic Botany from the University of Helsinki.
