Kirsi Kurki-Miettinen is a communications specialist with extensive experience in managing communications and social media for various organizations. Since February 2024, Kirsi has been with the Finnish Environment Institute (Syke). Prior to this, Kirsi served as Alumni Engagement Manager and Social Media Manager at Aalto University, where responsibilities included managing social media accounts and training academics on effective social media use. Kirsi has also worked as a Communications Specialist at John Nurmisen Säätiö, supporting projects aimed at protecting the Baltic Sea, and as a Producer for youth events at the City of Helsinki. With a Master’s Degree in Forest Sciences and Biology from the University of Helsinki, Kirsi is currently pursuing a minor in Communication and Media Studies.
