Jan Vapaavuori

Jan Vapaavuori is an accomplished leader and entrepreneur with extensive experience in various organizations. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Board at Finnvera and the Founder of Javacom, Vapaavuori also holds roles as Co-Founder and Chairman at Newres, and as a Board Member at Miltton and Omnigym Oy. Formerly the President of the Finnish Olympic Committee, Vapaavuori has been involved with Urban Partners as Senior Advisor and Executive Chairman of Neighborhood Development. Additional past positions include Board Member at Omago Oy and a member of the Global Future Council on Cities of Tomorrow at the World Economic Forum. Vapaavuori's tenure as Mayor of Helsinki further highlights a commitment to urban leadership. Vapaavuori holds an honorary doctorate from Hanken School of Economics and a Master's degree in Law from the University of Helsinki.
