Michael Marr

Michael Marr is the current Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer at Fintag. Prior to this, they were with Data Genius Private Equity, where they focused on AI, analytics, data collection and automation. Before that, they were Founding CEO / CCO at Capitala Securities, LLC from June 2018 to May 2020. Prior to that, they were Director of Portfolio Management at Capitala Group from June 2008 to December 2018. Before that, they were a partner at Smith Helms Mulliss Moore n/k/a McGuireWoods from May 1997 to March 1999, where they specialized in federal taxation, M&A consolidations and general corporate matters.

Michael Marr received a Master of Laws in Taxation from Emory University School of Law and a JD from Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. Michael also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. In addition, they are certified by the Mecklenburg County Bar, the North Carolina State Bar, and FINRA.

Michael Marr reports to David Godsman, CEO. They are on a team with Roger Portaro - VP, Product Strategy, Greg Gentner - President & COO.
