Alex Murphy

Alex Murphy is an experienced marketing professional with over 10 years of experience in the field. In 2021, they became the Founder / Consultant of Consultant CMO, offering senior marketing expertise and consultancy. Alex also became a Business Mentor at FinTech Wales, Arts & Business Wales, and Satoshi Block Dojo. From 2017 to 2021, they were the Marketing Director at Admiral Group Plc, where they led all marketing activity and created a digital performance marketing and optimization discipline. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Head of Performance Marketing and Head of Digital at Gocompare.com. From 2012 to 2011, they were the E-Commerce Sales & Marketing Manager at The Royal Mint, Head of Marketing and Marketing Manager at Source Insurance Ltd, and a Marketing Consultant at PayZip. In 2010, they were the Online Marketing Manager at the University of Glamorgan, where they developed and implemented the online communications strategy.

Alex Murphy has a diverse educational background. In 1999-2001, they attended Swansea University, where they earned a BSc in Business Studies and Marketing. In 2008-2009, they studied Digital Marketing at the University of Wales, Newport, and earned a CIM. In 2009-2010, they attended the University of South Wales, where they earned an APMP Practitioner Level in Project Management, and an ILM in Leadership and Management in 2010-2011. In addition, Alex Murphy has obtained several certifications from Harvard Business School Executive Education and INSEAD. These include The Consultant's Toolkit in March 2022, a Certificate of Influence and Persuasion in Leadership in June 2021, and Design Thinking and Creativity for Business from INSEAD in August 2020.
