Jerry J. Quintana

Database Administrator, Developer at Fiore Industries

Jerry J. Quintana has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Jerry J. started their career as a Research Engineer at Maxwell Laboratories in 1984, where they served as a UNIX system manager and provided technical support. Jerry J. then joined Rockwell International in 1988 as a Member of Technical Staff, where they worked as a software engineer and network administrator, implementing process control systems and redesigning expert system engines.

In 1992, Quintana began working for Fiore Industries as a Data Acquisition Developer for Phillips Research Laboratory, a role they held for seven years. During this time, they developed and implemented data acquisition systems. Jerry J. also served as a Database Administrator for Fiore Industries' client, the New Mexico Department of Transportation, from 1999 to 2003, where they supported over 30 databases and automated database procedures.

Quintana continued their employment with Fiore Industries and took on multiple roles. From 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Database Administrator, Database Architect, and Developer for Fiore Industries' client, Sandia National Laboratories. Jerry J. was responsible for managing Oracle database components and designing user interfaces. From 2006 to 2009, they served as a Document Management Administrator, developing and implementing document management systems for Sandia National Laboratory's Navy Physical Protection Program.

In 2011, Quintana focused on cloud development and exchange migration as part of their role at Fiore Industries, where they supported clients such as Sandia National Laboratory and Los Alamos National Laboratory. Jerry J. successfully planned and executed the migration of user and resource calendars and developed cloud deployment scripts to automate database installation and security hardening.

Quintana's most recent positions include Senior Database Administrator roles for SAIC, supporting Sandia National Laboratories, and the Government, which they have held since 2017 and 2018, respectively.

Throughout their career, Quintana has demonstrated expertise in database administration, development, and architecture, as well as system automation and backup. Jerry J. has also taken on managerial responsibilities, such as overseeing IT contracts and staff.

Jerry J. Quintana obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from The University of New Mexico, where they studied from 1981 to 1986.
