Dobril Ivanov

Dobril Ivanov is a Senior Bioinformatician at Fios Genomics since July 2023. Previously, Dobril held the position of UK Dementia Research Institute Fellow at the UK Dementia Research Institute from January 2018 to June 2023. Prior to that, Dobril served as a Bioinformatician and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at EMBL-EBI from February 2012 to December 2017, focusing on the analysis of transcriptomics and proteomics data in collaboration with multiple institutes to study insulin/IGF-1 signaling and its effects on aging-associated neurodegenerative diseases. Dobril’s career began as a Research Associate in Bioinformatics/Statistical Genetics at Cardiff University from October 2008 to January 2012, where the analysis of large genetic datasets and the design of novel statistical algorithms were key responsibilities. Dobril achieved a PhD in Bioinformatics/Biostatistics from Cardiff University.
