Yun-Yu Chen

Yun-Yu Chen, PhD, is a senior bioinformatician at Fios Genomics since September 2020, previously serving as a bioinformatician in the same organization. Prior experience includes roles as a geneticist/informaticist PDRA at The James Hutton Institute and NGS data manager at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Yun-Yu Chen has also contributed as a demonstrator and PhD student at The University of Edinburgh from April 2015 to March 2019. Earlier research experience includes work as a research assistant and teaching assistant of general biology at National Taiwan University between February 2013 and February 2015. Academically, Yun-Yu Chen holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Plant Molecular Biology from The University of Edinburgh, a Master of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from National Taiwan University, and a Bachelor of Science in Life Science from National Tsing Hua University.
