Dave Stackhouse

District Manager/commander at Fire and Emergency NZ

Dave Stackhouse is an experienced emergency management professional currently serving as District Manager/Commander and Area Commander at Fire and Emergency NZ since July 2017. Prior to this role, Dave accumulated over two decades of experience at the New Zealand Fire Service, holding titles such as Area Commander, Senior Station Officer, and Station Officer in various capacities from December 1991 to July 2017, as well as Firefighter from October 1985 to October 1991. Dave holds a Master’s Degree in Emergency Management from Charles Sturt University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Management from Massey University. Additional qualifications include a Graduate Diploma in Executive Leadership and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Management from APIM, as well as membership with the Institute of Fire Engineers. Dave completed secondary education at Christchurch Boys High School from 1974 to 1978.
