Gary Northey

Gary Northey is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in vehicle development and fleet management. Currently serving as a Vehicle Development Engineer at Fire and Emergency NZ since January 2018, Gary previously worked as a Regional Fleet Co-Ordinator for the New Zealand Fire Service from June 2012 to January 2018, where responsibilities included overseeing preventative maintenance, repair, and commissioning of the regional fleet while managing governmental budgets. Earlier career roles include Senior Planner and Senior Departmental Manager in the Ministry of Defence's Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from 2003 to 2011. Gary's educational background includes an apprenticeship as a vehicle mechanic from Princess Marina College and attendance at Rossington Comprehensive.
