Nathan Bennetto

Chief Fire Officer at Fire and Emergency NZ

Nathan Bennetto has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nathan began their career as a Stock Truck driver at Farmers Transport in 2003, where they transported various types of livestock and ensured their safe and timely delivery. In 2007, they joined Fonterra as a Tanker Operator and later took on the role of Lead Driver, where they coordinated daily tasks, managed staff and truck resources, and facilitated communication between drivers and depot management. Within Fonterra, they also had roles as a Protein Process Projects Manager, Process Operator, and Dryer Operator. From 2015 to 2017, Nathan worked as a Tanker Operator at Tirau Factory, reestablishing the Tanker fleet and transporting milk and byproducts across the Waikato region. In 2018, they became an L8 Supervisor - Processing at Fonterra, overseeing plant processes. Between 2012 and 2015, they were also a First Priority Business Trainer at Fonterra. Outside of Fonterra, Nathan served as a Deputy Chief Fire Officer at the New Zealand Fire Service from 2009 to 2014 and later became the Chief Fire Officer at Fire and Emergency NZ starting in 2014.

Nathan Bennetto began their education at Putaruru Intermediate School, where they attended from 2000 to 2002. Nathan then went on to Putaruru High School, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. After completing their secondary education, Nathan enrolled at Wintec - Waikato Institute of Technology in 2015, where they earned a New Zealand certificate in dairy. Continuing their education at the same institution, they pursued a Diploma in Dairy Manufacturing from 2016 to 2017, specializing in dairy processing.
