Gautam Bhattathiri has had several work experiences. In 2022, they worked as a Junior Security Analyst at FireCompass. Prior to this, from 2022 to 2023, they were a Security Research Intern at the same company, where they gained experience in Continuous Automated Red Teaming (CART) and Attack Surface Management (ASM).
In 2022, they also worked as a Summer Research Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
In 2021, Gautam participated in the Manthan 2021 Premier Hackathon for National Security organized by the Ministry of Education, Innovation Cell. Here, they focused on the identification of crime-prone areas through data analysis and predictions.
In 2020, they participated in the Smart Gujarat for New India Hackathon organized by SSIP, Government of Gujarat, and made it to the grand finale.
Also in 2020, Gautam took part in Hac'KP, an international virtual hackathon organized by Kerala Police Cyberdome. Gautam was selected as part of the final 11 teams out of 110, where they and their team (AI FOR GOOD) worked on using machine learning for predictive policing through big data analysis.
Gautam Bhattathiri completed their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Engineering from the Institute of Advanced Research in Gandhinagar. Gautam attended this institution from 2018 to 2022. Prior to that, they attended Sakar English School from 2017 to 2018 and Sunny Sky English High School from 2015 to 2016 for their HSC education, although the field of study for these degrees is not specified. In addition to their formal education, Gautam has obtained several certifications, including the Jira Fundamentals Badge from Atlassian and the Junior Penetration Tester certification from TryHackMe, both in June 2022. Gautam also obtained the Cybersecurity | Foundation Level Program certification from NSEIT LIMITED in November 2021. Gautam's other certifications include the IAR Academic Excellence Award from the Institute of Advanced Research in November 2021, the Data Science Methodologies certification from IBM in July 2020, and the Ethical Hacking certification from Techfest, IIT Bombay in January 2020.
