Joe Schumacher

Joe Schumacher is currently the Chief Operations Officer and State Director at Firefighter Cancer Support Network, where Joe assists firefighters and their families battling cancer, and provides awareness and prevention education to fire departments in Virginia. Additionally, Joe serves as the Board Secretary at Firefighters Cancer Support Network, and holds roles as Safety Officer and PIO Officer at National Capital Region Incident Management Team. Joe retired as a Fire Captain after thirty years in the career fire service, with seventeen years as a shift supervisor and ten years managing a shift of twelve personnel at City of Fairfax Fire Department.
