William Townsend

William Townsend began their career in 2007 as an Undergraduate Mathematics Tutor at Keele University. In 2010, they joined Firefish Software\u00ae as a Software Developer, then progressed to Lead Software Developer, Head of Current Version & Data, and Head of Automation and Efficiency (Remote). In these roles, Townsend was responsible for leading 3rd line support for the Firefish product, helping to migrate clients from their current ATM/CRM solution to Firefish, leading design and implementation of new features, and managing and implementing automation and efficiency changes.

William Townsend obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Mathematics from Keele University between 2006 and 2010. William also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Astrophysics and Mathematics from Keele University between 2003 and 2006. William has obtained numerous certifications since then, including Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management from Coursera in October 2015, Intro: Big Data for Better Performance from Open2Study in September 2015, Intro: Concepts in Games Development from Open2Study in July 2015, Intro: Leadership: Identity, Influence and Power from Open2Study in July 2015, Designing Cities from Coursera in December 2014, The Evolving Universe from edX in July 2014, Computer Networks from Coursera in April 2014, Nanotechnology: The Basics from Coursera in February 2014, Financial Engineering and Risk Management Part I from Coursera in January 2014, Beginning Game Programming with C# from Coursera in November 2013, Machine Learning from Coursera in August 2013, Artificial Intelligence (with distinction) from edX in November 2012, and Circuits and Electronics from edX in June 2012.
