Pamela Berkowitz is a seasoned professional in aerospace engineering with extensive experience in quality and mission assurance. Currently serving as the Director of Quality and Mission Assurance at Firefly Aerospace since July 2023, Pamela previously held various key roles at SpaceX from June 2011 to July 2023, including Principal Reliability Engineer and Manager of Propulsion Engineering. Notable achievements include leading investigations on Raptor engine anomalies, developing failure tracking processes, and managing flight risk during Starship development. With a strong educational background, Pamela graduated with Highest Distinction in Aeronautical/Astronomical Engineering from Purdue University. Prior roles include engineering internships at Oceaneering, ATK, and Rockwell Collins, where Pamela contributed to projects ranging from space suit hardware evaluations to system-level testing for major aircraft.
