Firefly Autism
Amanda D Kelly has a diverse work experience in the field of autism and neurodiversity. Amanda D started their career at ABACAS Kilnamanagh as a BCBA Applied Behavior Analyst from July 2007 to December 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Guest Lecturer at NUI Maynooth. From January 2013 to January 2015, they served as a BCBA-D, Senior Consultant at Firefly Autism. Amanda D then took on the role of Director at Firefly Autism from January 2015 to December 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at Firefly Autism. In addition to their work at Firefly Autism, they are also a Co-Founder of the Colorado Neurodiversity Chamber of Commerce, starting from August 2022.
Amanda D Kelly (D.Psych) obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Maynooth University, specializing in the field of Psychology. Amanda D pursued further education at the same institution, earning a Doctorate degree in Psychological Science with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis and Therapy. Amanda's academic journey spanned from 2003 to 2011.

Our vision is a world where individuals on the autism spectrum, their families, and communities have access to the support and solutions needed to maximize learning potential and individual success. Since 2003, Firefly Autism has been changing the landscape of behavior and mental health. Working with individuals from 18 months to over 70 years of age, we are one of the few places in Colorado where everyone, including adults, are not only welcome, but are also receiving support. With collaboration from families and other providers, we deliver services through individualized behavior plans and instructional goals that meet the client’s interests, values, and support needs. At Firefly Autism, we believe in using the principles of assent-based and values-based practices to ensure a person-centered approach to Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. Our purpose is to transform the lives of autistic children. Partnering with families, we create life-long relationships through thoughtful, innovative, empirical learning treatment programs. Children are a part of families and families have diverse values, cultural backgrounds, expectations, and needs.
