Gary Wood

Gary Wood is the President & CEO at Firefly Fiber Broadband. Gary has over 25 years of experience in the engineering and operations field. Gary started their career at Central Virginia Electric Cooperative in 1991 as the Planning Engineering Manager. Gary was responsible for system planning, metering, and power supply related activities. Gary also helped to develop human resources and member services functions, along with developing the first computer network for the company. Gary left Central Virginia Electric Cooperative in 2008 to become the VP - Engineering and Operations at The Greenwood Partnership. Gary served as the senior electrical engineer at The Greenwood Partnership for three years before joining Firefly Fiber Broadband in 2011.

Gary Wood has an MBA in Business Administration from Auburn University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Virginia.
