James Reed

James Reed is a skilled software engineer with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as a Founding Engineer at Fireworks AI since October 2022, James previously worked at Meta as a Staff Software Engineer, where James led significant compiler and runtime solution developments for PyTorch Distributed. Prior experience at Facebook included roles as a Senior Software Engineer, where James contributed to the TorchScript framework and the PyTorch Intel CPU Quantization toolkit, as well as being a founding member of the ONNX team. James's internships at Google and Qualcomm provided foundational skills in machine learning and system development. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech and an Advanced Studies Diploma from Chantilly High.
