Cary Peebles

Cary Peebles has over 30 years of experience in software engineering, product development and product architecture. Cary began their career in 1988 as an Engineer in Applied Mechanics at Electric Boat, where they developed tools and GUIs for finite element analysis and piping system design. In 1990, they joined GE as a Senior Developer, where they developed field engineering and drawing software for the make-to-order lighting panel and switchboard product lines. In 1995, they moved to Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory as a Senior Engineer, where they developed application and process automation for transient reactor analysis for naval nuclear power plants. In 2000, they joined MapInfo as a Principle Engineer, where they were a lead engineer for Data Access team for GIS developer SDK products. In 2007, they moved to Pitney Bowes Software as Chief Architect for LI and CIM and Director of Product Development, Advanced Spatial Technologies. Cary was responsible for product architecture strategy for Location Intelligence portfolio and evangelized new technology trends. In 2019, they joined Precisely | Trust in Data as Senior Director of Product Development, Spatial Technologies, where they were responsible for global product development for Location Intelligence products. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer at Firmatek since 2022.

Cary Peebles holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from State University of New York at Fredonia, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
