Terry Brizendine

Terry Brizendine has a diverse and extensive background in the financial services industry. Terry began their career in 1981 as a Stores Program Manager at Nelson-Roanoke Corporation, where they managed the national advertising program for a wholesale hardware distributor. In 1986, they joined MetLife as an Associate Branch Manager, responsible for recruiting and training insurance agents while also personally producing as an agent.

In 1991, Brizendine moved to New England Mutual Life Insurance Co as a Sales Manager, where they recruited, selected, and trained insurance agents. Terry also developed training programs for new agents. Terry then joined James Mitchell & Company in 1992 as a Regional Vice President, overseeing sales management and supervision of investment counselors providing investment products to retail branch offices.

Brizendine joined Wells Fargo in 1995, initially working as a Branch Manager, where they managed sales, service, operations, and compliance of a retail branch bank. Terry then transitioned to the role of Private Financial Advisor, serving affluent clients by providing integrated solutions to complex needs related to financial planning, investments, trust, estate planning, insurance, and banking.

In 2003, Brizendine joined First National Bank of Altavista as a Financial Advisor, specializing in investment sales for community bank customers and developing investment plans based on customers' risk tolerance and long-term financial objectives.

From 2005 to 2019, Brizendine worked at Atlantic Union Bank as a Commercial Banking Executive, Senior Vice President. In this role, they were responsible for the comprehensive management and continuous development of commercial and commercial real estate banking relationships, including sales, underwriting, and credit risk management. Terry focused on developing and expanding commercial account relationships for the bank.

Finally, in 2019, Brizendine joined First Bank and Trust as a Senior Vice President Commercial Lending. In this current role, they manage a commercial and commercial real estate loan and deposit portfolio. Terry executes strategic and tactical plans to manage business development productivity while achieving portfolio quality objectives and meeting financial targets.

Terry Brizendine graduated from James Madison University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Marketing. Prior to attending university, Terry completed their general studies at Rustburg High from 1972 to 1976.
