Steve Sumerel

Steve Sumerel is an experienced associate pastor for congregational life at First Baptist Church Greensboro, a position held since April 2010. In addition, Steve serves as adjunct faculty for family studies at Campbell University Divinity School since January 2006. Previous roles include membership on the Network Development Council for Family Support Network from 2005 to 2010 and serving as executive director of the Council on Christian Life and Public Affairs for the Baptist State Convention of NC from April 1992 to February 2006. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Ministry in Family Ministry from Campbell University, an M.A. in Pastoral Counseling from Wake Forest University, a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Psychology from North Carolina State University.
