Katrin Engel

Katrin Engel is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in middle market banking. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Market Leader at First Citizens Bank since November 2018, Katrin manages a team of relationship managers to grow the bank's Middle Market business in California, focusing on companies with sales ranging from $75 million to $1 billion. Prior to this role, Katrin held the position of Director and Senior Relationship Manager for the Middle Market at MUFG Union Bank from April 2013 to November 2018, working with corporations and not-for-profit entities with revenues between $50 million and $2 billion. Katrin's previous experience includes serving as Vice President and Relationship Manager in Commercial Banking at Northern Trust and as Vice President and Client Manager at Bank of America. Katrin holds a Master of Science in Finance and Financial Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics, earned between 2002 and 2005.
