Sean Murphy

Sean Murphy is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the banking sector, currently serving as Managing Director & Group Head at First Citizens Bank since January 2022. Prior to this role, Sean held the position of Managing Director and Head of Oil & Gas Finance at CIT Bank N.A. from August 2015. Sean's background includes serving as Executive Vice President and Head of Energy Lending at OneWest Bank from August 2011 to August 2015, and as Senior Vice President and Energy Group Credit & Risk Manager at Union Bank from September 2000 to July 2011. Sean holds a Master's Degree in Banking/Finance and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, both from the University of North Texas.
