Gary Sjurset

Gary Sjurset is a seasoned financial advisor and coach at First Command Financial Services, specializing in helping individuals in the military achieve financial security since June 2016. Prior to this role, Gary served as a Principal Operations Research Analyst at ManTech, where responsibilities included requirements analysis and Air Force modeling and simulation from January 2007 to May 2016. Gary's extensive experience in the USAF, spanning from 1979 to 2006, included roles as Chief of Ground C2 Requirements, Director of Operations, and Flight Commander, among others. An educator at heart, Gary also has a background in teaching and coaching at the middle school level. Gary holds a Master of Science in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
